The Snow Dump Continues!

With all the recent snow in the Inland Northwest region, you can bet on stellar conditions this weekend at resorts across the area. More snow is forecasted tonight; here’s what to expect at the regional ski hills:

49 Degrees North – Snow fell all night at Chewelah Peak, resulting in a total of 7″ of new snow in the last 24 hours. Skiers and Riders can expect powder pockets and smooth, easy riding groomers for all of today and likely into early next week. With the recent snowfall, this is the best early season conditions we’ve seen in years!

Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park – Mt. Spokane saw 5″ of new snow fall overnight, and they list conditions as “incredible, with champagne powder and machine groomed corduroy.” Chair 1 was left ungroomed, meaning that its all pure powder. While it won’t remain untracked for long, more snow is expected to fall, so take full advantage of skiing this weekend at Mt. Spokane!

Silver Mountain Resort –  5″ have fallen at Silver, with powder stashes hidden throughout the mountain! Currently, the snow continues to fall and the resort expects even more coverage by later tonight, bringing more chairs and more runs online through the rest of the weekend. Discounted lift tickets are available for just $37, leaving you enough money to head up multiple days in a row!

Lookout Pass – The front and backside of the mountain is open, with 8″ of new snow in the last 24 hours! Conditions are prime early skiing, with powder pockets spread throughout the terrain. Like Silver, Lookout is expecting more snow throughout the afternoon and overnight, bringing early season totals to an Inland Northwest high! The drive might be a bit longer for Spokane residents, but the snow more than enough makes up for the travel time; you’ll never want to leave!

Information on all the resorts can be found by clicking on the names in this article, or over at the Snow Reports hub. Happy Saturday skiing!
