Well, the La Niña predictions are back, meaning that once again we’re on the lookout for deep powder and untold of amounts of snow in the Northwest. For our local mountains, the newest prediction is a sigh of relief, as the forecasters are calling for wetter, cooler conditions spread throughout the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies.
Unofficial Networks published the following information from the NOAA website:
“The NOAA just released an updated winter weather outlook that’s not only more accurate but focuses on the Northern Rockies seeing a cold and snowy conditions throughout the 2016-2017 winter season.”
While it’s not a guarantee, bet on more snow, and more fun, than we’ve seen in the last few years. You can find the entire report from the NOAA here.
For now, check out a new offering from the Line Traveling Circus, filmed last year at a few local Washington resorts. With more snow expected this year, it should be an overall great season!
Snow is on the way! Keep your eyes out for last minute season pass sales at all area resorts, most of them come to an end around November 1st.
